Chairman - Mrs. Gill Haig-Brown

Elected Chairman at Annual General (AGM) Meeting March 2007.
Gill has been a member of LOC for 10 years. With the demise of FHSAs and the geographical split of Surrey to form two Health Authorities in 1995 the primary care local committees were required to establish committees in line with the Health authorities' geographical boundaries. Gill became chairman of East Surrey LOC till 1999 when she became Honorarium Secretary of newly formed Surrey LOC (encompassing East and West Surrey). She is past president of BCLA and an examiner for the British College of Optometrists. She is in private practice in Esher, Surrey. Was a member of Professional Executive Committee for East Elmbridge and Mid Surrey Primary Care Trust 2003-2004

At AGM on 1 April 2009, members agreed that it was prudent for the Honorary Chairman and Treasurer continue their tenure till AGM 2010 when new voting process will be put into action.

Dispensing Optician and General Manager of Thomas H Collison Ltd.
Was Honorarium Treasurer for Surrey LOC for 17 years until the cessation of FHSAs when he has continued as Honorarium Treasurer for West Surrey LOC since 1995 and continues as Hon.Treasurer of Surrey LOC.
He is a FODO representative on the European and Negotiation Committee & Chairman of the Optical Voucher Consultative Committee
